HM Land Registry portal: reset password

How Business e-services customers can reset their password through the portal.

You can only reset your password after you鈥檝e logged in at least once, as you鈥檙e required to answer 2 of the shared secret questions created during first time login.

Reset password

Select 鈥楻eset password, PIN or OTP Token鈥�.

Enter your User ID

  1. Enter your 鈥楿ser ID鈥�.
  2. Select 鈥楴ext鈥�.

  1. Select either 鈥楶assword鈥� or 鈥極ne Time Password Token鈥�.
  2. Select 鈥楴ext鈥�.

Reset login details

  1. Answer your first and second shared secret question. If you can鈥檛 remember your shared secret answers, your account will need to be reset. How this is done will depend on your user role:
    • If you鈥檙e an authorised user, you should contact the Business Unit Administrator within your organisation
    • If you鈥檙e a Business Unit Administrator, Responsible Person or Deputy Responsible Person, you should contact our Customer Support Team
  2. Choose a new password following the rules on screen and enter it in both fields.
  3. Select 鈥楴ext鈥�. If your new password doesn鈥檛 meet our requirements, you鈥檒l be prompted to amend it.

Confirmation of reset

  1. A message will confirm that 鈥榊our password has been successfully reset鈥�.
  2. Select 鈥楻eturn to login鈥� to be able to login using your new (reset) password.

Logout

When you have completed your tasks, select 鈥楲ogout鈥� at the top of the screen to exit the system securely.
