These reports support the air quality analysis in the consultation on the Airport Commission鈥檚 shortlisted options for additional airport capacity.

The 鈥楤aseline鈥� report looks at expected developments in air quality over a 60 year period in the vicinity of Heathrow and Gatwick. It considers:

  • airport operations
  • airport surface access
  • background users of surface access networks

on the basis of a 鈥榙o minimum鈥� scenario with no airport expansion.

The 鈥楴ational and local assessment鈥� report examines the air quality implications of schemes at a local and national level, across a 60 year period.
