This direction requires Stoke-on-Trent City Council to:
- enter into a formal partnership with Leeds City Council
- continue to co-operate with the Children鈥檚 Services Commissioner, Eleanor Brazil, appointed by the Secretary of State for Education
- accept support provided by
It follows publication of:
- a , which judged the overall effectiveness of Stoke-on-Trent鈥檚 children鈥檚 social care services as inadequate
- an independent report by Eleanor Brazil, Stoke-on-Trent Children鈥檚 Services Commissioner
This direction replaces the earlier revised statutory direction issued to the council on 31 October 2019.
