Unfair commercial practices

Details

The CMA has published guidance on the protection from unfair trading provisions in the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, following extensive consultation.

We have also provided a range of examples which show how different types of unfair practices might break consumer protection law in real situations.

Alongside the guidance and examples, we have published specific guidance on fake reviews.

If you run a business or are a small trader, read our short guide to what you need to know about unfair commercial practices.
