The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology has tracked the growth of the UK鈥檚 safety tech sector since May 2020, through the annual 鈥楽afety Tech Sectoral Analysis鈥�. The 2024 analysis has found that the UK鈥檚 safety tech sector is continuing to grow significantly year-on-year. The sector, now with 143 providers:

  • saw a 37% total revenue increase in 2023, reaching 拢623 million
  • will hit 拢1 billion in annual revenues by 2025/26 if this current growth rate is maintained

The sector employs approximately 3,900 people and is globally significant, with the UK accounting for 23% of the global safety tech workforce. Despite challenging conditions, investment remains strong, with growing demand for outsourced safety tech solutions.
