This direction has now closed. A聽revised direction issued in February 2025聽replaces it.
This direction requires the council to continue to co-operate with the commissioner appointed by the Secretary of State for Education.
It follows:
- an of Herefordshire Council local authority children鈥檚 services published 21 September 2022 that judged services to be inadequate across all sub judgements
- an聽independent report by Eleanor Brazil, the Secretary of State鈥檚 Commissioner for Herefordshire Children Services Commissioner
This direction replaces the earlier statutory direction聽issued to the council in September 2022.
