The generic design brief sets out the technical requirements for college construction projects capturing context, key principles and requirements for:
- buildings and grounds
- fittings, furniture and equipment
- ICT
- operational and maintenance matters
This documentation should be read in conjunction with:

- employer鈥檚 requirements part C: college-specific brief template
These documents form the employer鈥檚 requirements for the DfE construction framework and the offsite schools framework: modern methods of construction (MMC1). Part B and part C include the further education output specification.
