Tim Moss

Biography

Tim is currently Chief Executive of DVLA after joining the agency in March 2025.

He was previously Chief Operating Officer and Director General for Corporate Services and Inspectorates at the Welsh Government. He had responsibility for a range of corporate functions including Digital, Data and Technology, Finance, Human Resources, Estates, Security, Legal, Commercial and Procurement.

Before joining the Welsh Government, Tim was Chief Executive at the Intellectual Property Office in Newport. Prior to that, he was the Registrar of Companies for England and Wales and Chief Executive at Companies House in Cardiff.

Tim鈥檚 career also includes 12 years in senior operational roles in the manufacturing industry. He has a Natural Sciences degree from Cambridge University, an MBA from Swansea University and lives on a farm in South Wales and is married with 2 children. He was awarded a CBE in the 2016 Queen鈥檚 Birthday Honours list for services to the economy and the people of Swansea.
