The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has reviewed the consultation responses and has published its summary of responses to the consultation and the final versions of the updated mergers guidance documents.

The final updated mergers guidance will take effect from 1 January 2025 and will apply to merger cases subject to the transitional provisions in the
