Op ASCEND is a free, government-backed employment service that supports veterans by providing career advice and helping them connect with veteran-friendly employers.
About Op ASCEND
Op ASCEND is a service that provides free employment advice from specialist-trained advisors. Through one-to-one support, they can connect veterans and their families to their network of veteran-friendly employers based in high-demand sectors.
Support includes:
- CV-writing and interview preparation
- advice on entering new sectors, such as energy, data and digital, telecommunications and construction
- tips on how to navigate recruitment schemes run by veteran-friendly employers
- access to employment fairs
- advice on retraining or setting up a business
They also welcome contact from employers looking to attract veterans to their workforce and make the most out of the skills they have to offer.
The service is delivered by the Forces Employment Charity, with funding from government.
