Abstract

This paper outlines a strategy for the RIU Malawi Programme for the period 2008鈥�2011. It summarises the overall purpose of the RIUP and its intended outputs, outlining how Malawi can participate and benefit from this initiative. The strategy has been prepared by a Malawi Strategy and Programme Design Team, with input from participants during a Malawi Strategy Design Workshop, 5-7th December, and discussions with stakeholders undertaking RIU-type activities, 10-14th December, Lilongwe. The country programme aims to develop an innovations system approach to putting natural resources research into practice.
