Abstract

Country level research in Bangladesh was undertaken to clarify the conditions under which external financial support to women's mobilisation has a positive impact on women's empowerment. We also look at the conditions under which successful women's organising can be achieved without such support. Five case-study organisations were chosen to capture the diversity of different types of women's organisations in Bangladesh.
