Abstract
This Insight Note explores how聽South Korean educational system聽has prioritised聽a consistent, quality foundation of reading and basic maths for students regardless of gender, wealth, or region and how it聽has managed to聽build a schooling聽system聽that today is consistently ranked among the top five countries worldwide for reading and mathematics, and in the top ten for science in PISA.
