Abstract

This is a report of a review of existing literature and data on ethical consumption in Brazil. The report format is aimed to speak to policy makers and NGOs as well as academics. Overall, the authors found that there was only limited previous research into ethical consumption in Brazil. The bi-annual surveys and reports produced by the NGO Akatu, a partner on the ESRC-DFID Choices project, since 2001 are the most comprehensive longitudinal quantitative research.
