Abstract

This Insight Note identifies the admission criteria of Indonesia鈥檚 flagship pre-service teacher training programme as聽significant predictors of teacher candidates鈥� success at the end of their professional education and queries whether these criteria can predict teacher performance聽in a real classroom setting as measured by student learning outcomes.
