Abstract

The first phase identified 10 promising countries and 3 technologies for more in-depth investigation:

  • anaerobic digestion-to-internal combustion engine
  • gasification-to-internal combustion engine
  • combustion-to-steam turbine.

This phase aims to prioritise particular 鈥楾echnology Value Chains鈥� (TVCs) that combine these technologies with certain feedstocks and end uses, and offer potential for replication. The next phase will explore TVCs in more depth through a case study approach, in order to identify specific opportunities for research-led innovation.
