Abstract

This paper discusses the pandemic鈥檚 impacts and grassroots responses in Harare, Kampala, Lilongwe and Nairobi. In these 4 cities, affiliates of Slum/Shack Dwellers International (SDI) led the action research examining household and community-level impacts of COVID-19 (from 2021 to 2023).

This paper is part of the African Cities Research Consortium (ACRC) programme.
