Hazard
When tested in accordance with 8.3 (torque test) the blue 鈥榗ollar鈥� unscrewedfrom the shaft of the pen before reaching the specified minimum of 34cNm. The detached collar and nib component fitted wholly inside the small parts cylinder, and therefore poses a serious risk of choking to a child under 36 months.
The product鈥檚 flexible plastic bag used for packaging also has an area greater than 100mm x 100mm and the bag thickness measured as 0.034 卤 0.002mm which is less than the minimum permissible limit of 0.038mm. The bag therefore poses a potential asphyxiation hazard.
This product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
Corrective action
The import was rejected at the border.
