  • find overseas opportunities for your product or service

2. Find customers online

Get help and take advantage of special deals negotiated by the government.

And join the e-exporting programme to get:

  • advice on developing a strategy from e-commerce and international trade experts
  • special rates for some of the world鈥檚 most popular online selling platforms
  • regular updates on e-commerce trends and opportunities to hear from industry experts and network with other online traders

3. Get help from a trade specialist

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) has a network of trade specialists who can also help you find overseas customers by:

  • helping you prepare for a (sometimes grants are available - check with the event organiser)
  • arranging introductions to potential overseas buyers, agents and distributors (there鈥檚 a charge for this service)

4. Defence, security and civil maritime

Contact UK Defence and Security Exports (UKDSE) for help exporting products and services related to defence, security, cyber security and civil maritime.

They can help by:

  • providing specialist export advice and intelligence
  • supporting and promoting UK industry at domestic and overseas events, including major defence and security exhibitions
  • coordinating cross-government activity to support specific export and investment campaigns
  • building relationships with industry and overseas governments to raise awareness of UK industry
