Labyrinthitis and driving
You do not usually need to tell DVLA if you have labyrinthitis. If you have symptoms which stop you driving safely, you must tell DVLA if these last for 3 months or longer.
Labyrinthitis is an inner ear problem that might cause dizziness. .
You can be fined up to 拢1,000 if you do not tell DVLA about a medical condition that affects your driving. You may be prosecuted if you鈥檙e involved in an accident as a result.
Car or motorcycle licence
Fill in form DIZ1 and send it to DVLA. The address is on the form.
Bus, coach or lorry licence
Fill in form DIZ1V and send it to DVLA. The address is on the form.
