Overview

The project is looking to fund work in Women, Peace and Security (WPS) focus countries outlined in the UK鈥檚 Fifth National Action Plan (NAP).

The total funding available is up to a maximum of 拢850,000. A maximum of 拢500,000 is available in FY 2023 to 2024 (1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024), and a maximum of 拢350,000 is available in FY 2024 to 2025 (1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025).

The deadline for submission of bids is 11:59pm British Summer Time (BST) on Friday 20 October 2023.

What the fund will achieve

Projects should further the UK鈥檚 contribution to Strategic objective 1 of the women, peace and security national action plan: 鈥楧ecision Making - increasing women鈥檚 meaningful participation, leadership and representation in decision-making processes鈥�.

Projects should also meet at least one of the following 2 objectives:

  1. supporting and championing women鈥檚 rights organisations, women peacebuilders and human rights defenders (at any level)
  2. supporting opportunities for women鈥檚 meaningful participation in dialogues and discussion on defence, security and peace processes
