Hypoglycaemia and driving
You must tell DVLA if you have hypoglycaemia.
You can be fined up to 拢1,000 if you don鈥檛 tell DVLA about a medical condition that affects your driving. You may be prosecuted if you鈥檙e involved in an accident as a result.
Car or motorcycle licence
Fill in form DIAB1 and send it to DVLA. The address is on the form.

Bus, coach or lorry licence
Fill in the form that鈥檚 appropriate for how your diabetes is controlled:
Ask your nurse or doctor if you don鈥檛 know what type of medication you鈥檙e on.
Send your completed form to DVLA. The address is on the form.
