The exclusions for appliances only apply to 鈥榚lectrical鈥� and 鈥榞as鈥� appliances.
Appliances powered by energy sources other than electricity or gas are, therefore, 鈥榖uilding materials鈥�, subject to the 鈥榦rdinarily incorporated in a building of that description鈥� test. VCONST13300 and VCONST13400 provide an explanation of this test.
