TCM1000501 - How to process an Annual Declaration

Changes to previous version - new guidance.

Step 1

  • select ‘Renewalsâ€� on the toolbar
  • select ‘Capture Renewal Declarationâ€� from the options available. You’ll be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data - Renewalsâ€� screen
  • enter the customer’s NINO or Barcode (if you’re dealing with a manual Annual Declaration)
  • select ’OKâ€�

If you’re taken to ‘Select Household’�

  • select the relevant household, click ‘OKâ€�

If you’re taken to ‘Select S17 period� screen

  • select the relevant tax year that you need to work on
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You’ll be taken to the ‘Income / Benefitsâ€� screen
  • go to Step 2Ìý

If you’re taken straight to the Income / Benefits screen, go to Step 2

If you’re taken to the ‘Income / Benefits� screen

Note: If a warning message box appears take a note of the message, click ‘OK�

  • complete the screen with the information provided

Note: If using an estimate check the tick box

  • select ‘Continueâ€�. You’ll be taken to the ‘Declarationâ€� screen
  • check the ‘Statement of Circumstancesâ€� (SOC) tick box

Note; If the customer hasn’t selected either box on the Annual Declaration to confirm their circumstances were correct, select the ‘SOC - Yes� checkbox

  • check the ‘Yesâ€� box in the ‘Signature fieldâ€�
  • select ‘Paperâ€� or ‘Telephoneâ€� in ‘Sourceâ€�, whichever is correct
  • select ‘Processâ€�
