TCM1000384 - How to enter a full-time non-advanced education or approved training end date
Step 1
On the ‘Function Menu�
- select ‘Application� on the toolbar
- select either the ‘Change of Circumstances� or ‘Correction� from the options available. You’ll be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data - Applicant� screen
- enter the customer’s NINO
- select the ‘Latest� checkbox
- select ‘OK�.
If you are taken to the ‘Select Household� screen
- select the relevant claim
- select ‘OK�. You’ll be taken to the ‘Applicant Details� screen
- go to Step 2.
If you are taken to the ‘Select Application� screen
- select the relevant claim
- select ‘OK�. You’ll be taken to the ‘Applicant Details� screen
- go to Step 2.
If you are taken straight to the ‘Applicant Details� screen, go to Step 2.
Step 2
On the ‘Applicant Details� screen
- select ‘Ch� on the toolbar menu. You’ll be taken to the ‘Child Details� screen
- select the child that the change relates to
- select ‘Correction�. You’ll be taken to the ‘Correction Child� screen
- enter an end date in the ‘Full Time Education End� date field
Note: If a qualifying young person is under 20 years of age and has left full-time non-advanced education or approved training with the intention of continuing into advanced education, enter an end date of 31/08/XX.
Note: If the young person doesn’t intend to continue into advanced education enter the actual end date of full-time non-advanced education or approved training.
Note: If the customer has notified you that the young person’s earlier intention has changed and that they no longer intend to continue in advanced education, enter the date their intention changed.
- select ‘OK�. You’ll be taken back to the ‘Child Details� screen
- select ‘OK�. You’ll be taken to the ‘Amend Finish� screen.
Note: Don’t complete the ‘Amend Finish� screen at this point, return to the guidance you were previously following.
