TCM1000363 - How to check if a postcode is in the correct format
Background
We need to check whether the customer’s and / or their partner’s (if different) postcode provided is in the correct format.
This is to ensure that the postcode can be checked to determine whether the customer and / or their partner live in a closed postcode area.
Step 1
On the ‘Function Menu�
- select ‘Application�
- select ‘Capture Current’ from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data’ screen
- enter the customer’s NINO
- select OK. You will be taken to the ‘Applicant 1’ details screen
- select ‘SM’ from the toolbar. You will be taken to the ‘Summary Information’ screen.
- go to Step 2
Step 2
On the ‘Summary information’ Screen, check if there are any entries in the ‘Repair Summary’ window with the reason ‘POSTCODE�
If there are no failures in the ‘Repair Summary’ window with the reason ‘POSTCODE�, go to Step 3
If there is a failure, or failures, in the ‘Repair Summary’ window with the reason ‘POSTCODE�
- make a note of the details and the applicant(s) the failure(s) relates to
- go to Step 3

Note: The ‘Repair Summary� window will only appear on pre-award cases
