TCM1000335 - How to set a Manual Suspension marker

Changes to previous version - new guidance.

Step 1

On the ‘Function Menu�

  • select ‘Householdâ€� on the toolbar
  • select ‘View Overpaymentâ€� from the options available. You’ll be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data - Applicantâ€� screen
  • enter the customer’s NINO
  • select the ‘Allâ€� checkbox
  • select ‘OKâ€�.

If you’re taken to the ‘Select Award� screen

  • select the relevant award
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You’ll be taken to the ‘View Overpaymentâ€� screen
  • go to Step 2.

If you’re taken straight to the ‘View Overpayment� screen, go to Step 2.

Step 2

On the ‘View Overpayment� screen

  • select the ‘Maintain Disputeâ€� checkbox
  • select the ‘Manual Suspensionâ€� checkbox

Note: If a ‘Manual Suspension� or ‘Dispute Suspension� marker has previously been set and removed, you may not be able to select the ‘Manual Suspension� checkbox. If this occurs, you must select the ‘New� checkbox, which will then enable you to select the ‘Manual Suspension� checkbox.

  • select the ‘Suspend Recoveryâ€� checkbox
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You’ve set the ‘Manual Suspensionâ€� marker.
