TCM1000267 - How to update bank account details

Step 1

On the ‘Function Menu�

  • select ‘Applicationâ€� on the toolbar
  • select ‘Change of Circumstancesâ€� from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Dataâ€� screen
  • enter the customer’s NINO
  • select the ‘Allâ€� checkbox
  • select ‘OKâ€�.

If you are taken to the ‘Select Household� screen

  • select the relevant claim
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You will be taken to the ‘Amend Applicationâ€� screen
  • go to Step 2.

If you are taken to the ‘Select Application� screen

  • select the relevant claim
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You will be taken to the ‘Amend Applicationâ€� screen
  • go to Step 2.

If you are taken straight to the ‘Amend Application� screen, go to Step 2.

If you are taken to the ‘Free Format� screen

  • select ‘Noâ€� to cancel out of ‘Change of Circumstancesâ€� function
  • go to Step 3.

Step 2

On the ‘Amend Application� screen

  • select ‘Pm1â€� on the toolbar. The ‘Payment Detailsâ€� screen will display
  • enter the new bank account number in the ‘Account Noâ€� field
  • enter the bank sort code in the ‘Sort Codeâ€� field
  • enter the account name in the ‘Account Nameâ€� field
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You will be taken to the ‘Amend Finishâ€� screen
  • do not complete the ‘Amend Finishâ€� screen at this point, just return to the guidance you were previously following.

Step 3

  • on the ‘Function Menuâ€�
  • select ‘Applicationâ€� on the toolbar
  • select ‘Correctionâ€� from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Dataâ€� screen
  • enter the customer’s NINO
  • select the ‘Allâ€� checkbox
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You will prompted to make the change in function ‘Capture Applicationâ€�
  • select ‘Yesâ€� on the message. You will be taken to the ‘Applicant Detailsâ€� screen
  • select ‘Pm1â€� on the toolbar. The ‘Payment Detailsâ€� screen will display

Note: If it is a joint claim, select either ‘Pm1� for the first customer or ‘Pm2� for the second customer depending on which customer has opened the bank account.

  • enter the new bank account number in the ‘Account Noâ€� field
  • enter the bank sort code in the ‘Sort Codeâ€� field
  • enter the account name in the ‘Account Nameâ€� field
  • select ‘Smâ€� on the toolbar. You will be taken to the ‘Summary Informationâ€� screen

Note: Do not select ‘OK� at this stage.
