TCM1000267 - How to update bank account details
Step 1
On the ‘Function Menu�
- select ‘Application� on the toolbar
- select ‘Change of Circumstances� from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data� screen
- enter the customer’s NINO
- select the ‘All� checkbox
- select ‘OK�.
If you are taken to the ‘Select Household� screen
- select the relevant claim
- select ‘OK�. You will be taken to the ‘Amend Application� screen
- go to Step 2.
If you are taken to the ‘Select Application� screen
- select the relevant claim
- select ‘OK�. You will be taken to the ‘Amend Application� screen
- go to Step 2.
If you are taken straight to the ‘Amend Application� screen, go to Step 2.
If you are taken to the ‘Free Format� screen
- select ‘No� to cancel out of ‘Change of Circumstances� function
- go to Step 3.
Step 2
On the ‘Amend Application� screen
- select ‘Pm1� on the toolbar. The ‘Payment Details� screen will display
- enter the new bank account number in the ‘Account No� field
- enter the bank sort code in the ‘Sort Code� field
- enter the account name in the ‘Account Name� field
- select ‘OK�. You will be taken to the ‘Amend Finish� screen
- do not complete the ‘Amend Finish� screen at this point, just return to the guidance you were previously following.
Step 3
- on the ‘Function Menu�
- select ‘Application� on the toolbar
- select ‘Correction� from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data� screen
- enter the customer’s NINO
- select the ‘All� checkbox
- select ‘OK�. You will prompted to make the change in function ‘Capture Application�
- select ‘Yes� on the message. You will be taken to the ‘Applicant Details� screen
- select ‘Pm1� on the toolbar. The ‘Payment Details� screen will display
Note: If it is a joint claim, select either ‘Pm1� for the first customer or ‘Pm2� for the second customer depending on which customer has opened the bank account.
- enter the new bank account number in the ‘Account No� field
- enter the bank sort code in the ‘Sort Code� field
- enter the account name in the ‘Account Name� field
- select ‘Sm� on the toolbar. You will be taken to the ‘Summary Information� screen
Note: Do not select ‘OK� at this stage.
