TCM1000247 - How to change the status of a verification failure

Changes to previous version - new guidance

Step 1

If you do not know which verification failure the customer has failed on

  • on the ‘Function Menuâ€�
  • select ‘Worklistâ€� on the toolbar
  • select ‘Maintainâ€� from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Maintain Worklistâ€� screen
  • select ‘Verification Failuresâ€� from the ‘Worklist Typeâ€� field
  • select the relevant MU number provided by your manager in the ‘Management Unitâ€� field. All the work items for that MU and work list will be displayed
  • select the relevant work list item
  • select ‘Fileâ€� on the toolbar
  • select ‘Next Functionâ€� from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Work Management - Select Next Functionâ€� screen
  • select ‘Manage Ver Failuresâ€�
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You will be taken to the ‘Manage Verification Failuresâ€� screen
  • go to Step 2.

If you know which verification failure the customer has failed on

  • on the ‘Function Menuâ€�
  • select ‘Applicationâ€� on the toolbar
  • select ‘Verification Failuresâ€� from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Dataâ€� screen
  • enter the customer’s NINO
  • select OK. You will be taken to the ‘Manage Verification Failuresâ€� screen
  • go to Step 2.

Step 2

On the ‘Manage Verification Failures� screen

  • select the verification failure you want to change
  • select ‘Change Verificationâ€�. You will be taken to the ‘Change of Status Reasonâ€� screen
  • enter the reason for the change
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You will be taken back to the ‘Manage Verification Failuresâ€� screen
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You have changed the status and therefore resolved the verification failure.
