TCM1000226 - How to withdraw a pre-award claim

Changes to previous version - amended guidance.

Step 1

If you aren’t dealing with a work list item, go to Step 2.

If you are dealing with an ‘Incomplete Applications� work list item, go to Step 3.

If you are dealing with a ‘Verification Failures� work list item, go to Step 4.

Step 2

Note: Application Notes must be updated before you withdraw the claim, entering any messages after withdrawing the claim will result in the claim being incorrectly reinstated.

On the ‘Function Menu�

  • select ‘Applicationâ€� on the toolbar
  • select ‘Capture Currentâ€� from the options available. You’ll be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data - Applicantâ€� screen
  • enter the customer’s NINO
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You’ll be taken to the ‘Applicant 1â€� screen
  • select ‘Editâ€� on the toolbar
  • select ‘Withdrawâ€� from the options available. You’ll be taken to the ‘Withdraw Applicationâ€� screen
  • select the reason for the withdrawal
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You have withdrawn the pre award claim.

Step 3

On the ‘Maintain Worklist� screen

  • select ‘Fileâ€� on the toolbar
  • select ‘Next Functionâ€� from the options available. You’ll be taken to the ‘Work Managementâ€� screen
  • select ‘Capture Applicationâ€�. You’ll be taken to the ‘Capture Applicationâ€� screen
  • select ‘Editâ€� on the toolbar
  • select ‘Withdrawâ€� from the options available. You’ll be taken to the ‘Withdraw Applicationâ€� screen
  • select the reason for the withdrawal
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You have withdrawn the pre award claim.

  • select the reason for the withdrawal
