TCM1000190 - How to check the start and end dates of the WTC elements

Changes to previous version - new guidance

Step 1

On the ‘Function Menu�

  • select ‘Awardâ€� on the toolbar
  • select ‘Viewâ€� from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Dataâ€� screen
  • enter the customer’s NINO
  • select the ‘Periodâ€� checkbox
  • enter the start date of the relevant tax year, for example 06-04-2007
  • tab to the next field. The system will automatically populate the end date
  • select ‘OKâ€�.

If you are taken to the ‘Select Award� screen

  • select the relevant award
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You will be taken to the ‘Award Summaryâ€� screen
  • go to Step 2.

If you are taken straight to the ‘Award Summary� screen, go to Step 2.

Step 2

On the ‘Award Summary� screen

  • select ‘Working Tax Creditâ€� in the ‘Tax Credit Typeâ€� field
  • select ‘View Calculationâ€�. You will be taken to the ‘View Calculationâ€� screen
  • select ‘View Elementsâ€�. You will be taken to the ‘View Elementsâ€� screen
  • the entries on this screen will tell you which WTC elements the customer is in receipt of and the start and end dates of those elements.
