Step 1

If you are checking if an inhibit signal is set, go to step 2 {#}

If you are not checking the inhibit signal

On the ‘Function Menu�

  • select ‘Householdâ€� on the toolbar
  • select ‘View Claim Summaryâ€� from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Dataâ€� screen
  • enter the customer’s NINO
  • select ‘OKâ€�.

If you are taken to the ‘Select Individual� screen

  • select the relevant claim
  • select ‘OKâ€�.

If you are taken to the ‘Select Application� screen

  • select the relevant claim
  • select ‘OKâ€�.

If you are taken to the ‘Select Award� screen

  • select the appropriate award period
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You will be taken to the ‘View Claim Summary - Signalsâ€� screen

Note: A tick in the box indicates that the signal is set.

  • make a note of the signals that are set.

Step 2 {#} {.filledcircle}

On the ‘Function Menu�

  • select ‘Renewalâ€� on the toolbar
  • select ‘Manage Finalisationâ€� from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data - Applicant’ screen

Note: When this screen is first displayed, the ‘Period� checkbox will be automatically populated and should not be changed.

  • enter the customer’s NINO
  • enter the relevant tax year in the ‘Period Datesâ€� field
  • select ‘OKâ€�.

If you are taken to the ‘Select Household� screen

  • select the relevant household
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You will be taken to the ‘Manage Finalisationâ€� screen

If you are taken to the ‘Select Tax Credit Period� screen

  • select the relevant period
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You will be taken to the ‘Manage Finalisationâ€� screen

If you are taken straight to the ‘Manage Finalisation� screen

  • select ‘Continue. You will be taken to the ‘Finalisation Detailsâ€� screen
  • check the tickbox under Inhibit Finalisation to see if Inhibit signal is set
