TCM1000063 - How to set or remove the Manual Correspondence marker

Changes to previous version - amended guidance at step 3.

Step 1

On the ‘Function Menu�

  • select ‘Applicationâ€� on the toolbar
  • select ‘Correctionâ€� from the options available. You’ll be taken to the ‘Key Entry Dataâ€� screen
  • enter the customer’s NINO
  • select the relevant checkbox
  • select ‘OKâ€�.

If you’re taken to the ‘Select Individual� screen

  • select the relevant claim
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You will be taken to the ‘Applicant Detailsâ€� screen
  • go to Step 2.

If you’re taken to the ‘Select Application� screen

  • select the relevant claim
  • select ‘OKâ€�. You will be taken to the ‘Applicant Detailsâ€� screen
  • go to Step 2.

If you’re taken straight to the ‘Applicant Details� screen, go to Step 2.

Step 2

On the ‘Applicant Details� screen

If the ‘Signals� screen displays and none of the signals affect the action you’re taking

  • select ‘OKâ€�
  • go to Step 3.

If the ‘Signals� screen displays and any of the signals affect the action you’re taking

  • select ‘Cancelâ€� on the ‘Signalsâ€� screen
  • select ‘Cancelâ€� on the ‘Applicant Detailsâ€� screen
  • take no further action.

If the ‘Signals� screen doesn’t display, go to Step 3.

Step 3

On the ‘Applicant Details� screen

  • select ‘Householdâ€� on the toolbar
  • select ‘Detailsâ€� from the options available. The ‘Household Detailsâ€� screen will display

If you want to set the ‘Manual Correspondence� marker

  • select the ‘Manual Correspondenceâ€� checkbox
  • select ‘OKâ€�. The ‘Manual Correspondenceâ€� marker has been set
  • select the source as ‘Paperâ€�
  • select the reason as ‘NTC Errorâ€�
  • select ‘OKâ€�.

If you want to remove the ‘Manual Correspondence� marker

  • select the ‘Manual Correspondenceâ€� checkbox to remove the tick
  • select ‘OKâ€�. The ‘Manual Correspondenceâ€� marker has been removed
  • select the source as ‘Paperâ€�
  • select the reason as ‘NTC Errorâ€�
  • select ‘OKâ€�.
