ECSH47536 - Refusing an application for registration: operational guidance: auto-rejection

When a business makes an application to register with HMRC for anti-money laundering supervision through itsgovernment gateway account,the businesswill have听the option to pay the fees by听banking automated clearing service (BACs).If the business chooses this option,听it is given 30听days to make any payment due.

If the business does not make听the听payment within 30听days,itsregistration听will be automatically rejected,听and the business will not be supervised听to provide relevant activity听under The Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds听(Information on the Payer)Regulations听2017听(MLR 2017). The business will need to make a new application for anti-money laundering supervision听if the business intends to carry out relevant activity听under MLR 2017.
