ECSH43545 - Registration exemptions by sector: High value dealers
A business听does not need to register听as a high value dealer听(HVD)听for anti-money laundering supervision听if:听
- They only receive payments for services or听goods and services where the value of the goods听are听less than听10,000 euros, this can be in a single transaction or in several smaller transactions which appear to be听linked.听
- They are only ever paid large amounts听by credit card, debit card or cheque.听
A business听must register for anti-money laundering supervision straight away if it decides that it will accept or make high value cash payments.听
