HM Land Registry portal: make an application enquiry

How Business e-services customers can check their current applications to HM Land Registry through the portal.

Select 鈥業nformation Services鈥�, then 鈥楢pplication Enquiry鈥�.

  1. Enter an HM Land Registry reference or Title Number. Use:
  2. Select 鈥楽ubmit鈥�.
  3. To view the current average completion times, select the link on the right-hand side.
  4. To view information about our services, including application quality and speed of service, select the Service Standards data link on the right-hand side.

Application list

This is the list of pending applications and official searches with priority for the requested title.

  1. Select 鈥楧ischarge Activity鈥� to find out whether any charges have been discharged against this title number within the previous 30 calendar days.
    If any discharged charges are revealed, select the 鈥榁erify Details鈥� link to input the charge date and confirm details relating to the discharged charge(s).
  2. To print this page, select 鈥楶rinter-friendly version鈥�.
  3. To find out more about an application, select 鈥楽how details鈥�. A new window will open with the application details.

Application details

  1. Select a 鈥楶arent Title鈥� link to get a list of the pending applications for that title.
  2. This gives extra information about the application, like the progress status of an application, reasons for delay, if an expedition request has been approved and the full priority period for official searches. Applications waiting to be processed will be shown in Application Enquiry as 鈥楻eceived: Priority Protected - Awaiting Processing鈥�. You must wait for your application to be processed before contacting us to request more information.
  3. You can print and save the application detail as a PDF.
  4. When we start to process your application, you can use our contact form to ask for:
    • more time to reply to a requisition
    • your application to be expedited 鈥� you鈥檒l need to provide documentary evidence to confirm the urgency

Follow the on-screen guidance and provide supporting evidence, if requested.

We may not be able to share more information than displayed for security or privacy reasons.

Logout

When you have completed your tasks, exit the system securely by selecting 鈥楲ogout鈥� at the top of the screen.
