Information on the Hong Kong British National (Overseas) Welcome Programme Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Year 5 funding 2025.

Introduction

In March 2025, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government launched its fifth year of funding for the UK-wide Welcome Programme to support BN(O) status holders. This includes an extension of grant funding to continue our mental health and wellbeing project until September 2025.

Summary of project:

叠补谤苍补谤诲辞鈥檚 are delighted to announce the continuation of our service supporting Hongkongers with their mental health and wellbeing. The service will build on our support offer that was available in Years 1-4 of Hong Kong British National (Overseas) Programme.

The service will continue to deliver:

  • helpline support offering advice and emotional support via telephone and email
  • therapeutic support for children and adults, including couples counselling
  • a virtual youth space for children age 10-13 and 14-17
  • regional peer support networks
  • virtual family space resources - this online resource in Cantonese contains information on a range of topics which are particularly aimed at the challenges encountered by families
  • monthly webinars with a focus on mental health and wellbeing
  • 2 in person events across England
  • volunteering opportunities for Hongkongers
