Statistics on local bus fares in Great Britain.

The local bus fares index decreased by 1.8% in England between June 2022 and June 2023. This likely reflects the 拢2 fare cap that came into effect in England outside London from January 2023.

For other areas, the local bus fares index change was:

  • 6.0% increase in London
  • 3.9% decrease in metropolitan areas
  • 10.8% decrease in non-metropolitan areas
  • 10.3% increase in Scotland
  • 6.3% increase in Wales

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 7.9% over the same 12-month period.
