Highlights

  • Total landings by UK vessels decreased drastically in April 2022 compared to 2021, down 46 per cent at 32 thousand tonnes. The value of landings in April 2022 (拢52.6 million) was also down compared to 2021 by 11 per cent.

  • Landings in April 2022 comprised mostly of pelagic species. This was driven by high landings of Blue Whiting which is usually a highly targeted fishery during February 鈥� April each year, where the fish are at their largest and most desirable.
