This report presents local area statistics on participation in sport and active recreation, libraries, museums/galleries and the arts, using results from Sport England鈥檚 Active People Survey (APS) 4. Data published for County Councils and those authorities that have boosted samples will be based on Active People Survey data from October 2009 to October 2010. For the other authorities, the statistics are based on the 24 month period October 2008 to October 2010 giving a sample size of 1000.
The report is accompanied by a workbook containing local area estimates for each sector.
