Legionnaires鈥� disease is a severe but uncommon form of pneumonia associated with exposure to water systems (natural or man-made) colonised by legionella bacteria. This report presents the epidemiological data on reported cases of Legionnaires鈥� disease whose symptoms started during 2012 and who were residents of England and Wales. Comparative data from previous years are included where appropriate.
