This statistical release provides information on the achievements in GCSE examinations and other qualifications of young people in academic year 2018 to 2019.

This typically covers those starting the academic year aged 15.

The information is from data collated for the 2018 to 2019 secondary school performance tables (key stage 4).

  1. Updated the 鈥楰S4 urban/rural school location鈥� data in the 鈥楶upil residency and school location data鈥� document. This now includes the same breakdowns for England as for each English region.

  2. Updated table data for total progress 8 scores to show as 3 decimal points. Tables updated are 'Local authority characteristics data', 'Local authority data', 'National characteristics data' and 'National data'.

  3. Updated 'Pupil residency and school location data' to include additional data on Attainment 8 score distribution and to correct a formula error on the FSM sheet.

  4. Added 'National characteristics tables'.

  5. First published.
