The booklet contains facts and figures which describe the intellectual property landscape and provides information on:

  • trade marks
  • designs
  • copyright
  • enforcement
  • the IPO

The UK鈥檚 total annual investment in intellectual property rights (patents, designs, trade marks, copyright) is vast, over 4% of our Gross domestic product. In 2011, UK firms invested an estimated 拢126.8 billion in knowledge assets, compared to 拢88 billion in tangible assets such as buildings or machinery.

The booklet is a companion that can be used in briefings, speeches, discussions with stakeholders or statements to the media and general public.
