鈥楥rime outcomes in England and Wales 2013 to 2014鈥� presents statistics on crime outcomes assigned by the police. The bulletin is the first to be based on the new crime outcomes framework, which was first introduced in April 2013, with the full, broader framework subsequently introduced in April 2014. It replaces the previous 鈥楥rimes detected鈥� bulletins, which focuses on a narrower subset of 鈥榙etections鈥�.

The new crime outcomes framework was introduced following a public consultation in October 2012. The Government response to this consultation was 鈥楢 Revised Framework For Recorded Crime Outcomes: Summary of consultation responses and conclusions鈥�.

This bulletin is the first to focus on the new outcomes framework, and invited views from our users on our intentions for reporting on this framework in future. We therefore launched a consultation in section 3.6 of this bulletin which closed on 10 October 2014. Longer term datasets contain police recorded crime for police force areas and local authorities.
