Details
This experimental statistical first release (SFR) is the first publication to use data from the statutory children鈥檚 social work workforce data collection.
It covers the:

number of social workers
-
vacancy rate of social workers
-
turnover rate of social workers
-
sickness absence of social workers
-
number of agency workers
Data was collected from all local authorities. We plan to publish future SFRs annually.

Medway Council鈥檚 data has been changed to amend a processing error. This has resulted in a minor amendment to the national figures, including a 0.26% change in the headline figure for the number of children鈥檚 social work workers.
