Indicators in the have been updated. The profiles give data at a local, regional and national level to inform the development and provision of health improvement and prevention activities and acute hospital services for children and families.

This release updates indicators relating to:

• emergency admissions:
  • to hospital for children under 18 years by different age groups
  • to hospital for children aged 0 to 4 years for falls; falls from furniture; exposure to animate mechanical force; inanimate mechanical forces; and heat and hot substances 鈥� and emergency admissions for accidental poisoning; poisoning from medicines, due to inhalation of food or vomit; hot tap water scalds; and burns from food and hot fluids
  • for children and young people up to age 24 following road traffic accidents for pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and car occupants
• hospital admissions:
  • for gastroenteritis and respiratory tract infections for babies and young children
  • for asthma, diabetes and epilepsy for children under 19 years by different age groups
• A&E attendance for different age groups
• subsets of road traffic accidents
