Yorkshire Water Services Limited: application made to impound water

Yorkshire Water Services Limited have applied to the Environment Agency to vary statutory provisions.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The applications seek to vary elements of Section 10 (1) and Section 10 (2) of the Harrogate Waterworks Act 1897 (previously varied under serial number NE/027/0021/022) at a reservoir at National Grid Reference (NGR) SE 22 54, and Section 4 (1) of the Harrogate Waterworks Act 1897 and the provisions set out in Section 10 as they relate to a reservoir at NGR SE 23 53.
The proposals include a reduced minimum combined compensation flow from the two sites of 0.75 megalitres per day and seek to formalise a flow trial undertaken as part of the Water Industry National Environment Plan.
