The review, by the Government鈥檚 Office for Product Safety and Standards, found that there is a low risk of harm or injury from lint fires in modified machines.

The review explored whether鈥疻hirlpool鈥檚 technical modification, designed to further reduce the risk of lint fires arising from its tumble dryers,鈥痺as鈥痚ffective in both design and installation,鈥痺hile also reviewing whether鈥疻hirlpool鈥檚 consumer outreach programme鈥痺as鈥痑dequate.
