The Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) closed on 31 March 2025. All activity has moved to the Department for Education (DfE). You should continue to follow this guidance.
Universal infant free school meals (UIFSM) provide funding for all government funded schools to offer free school meals to pupils in reception, year 1, and year 2.
Schools and local authorities must follow the terms and conditions set out in the conditions of grant.
Published allocations
The allocations spreadsheets contain the provisional UIFSM allocations for the 2024 to 2025 academic year for each school.
The allocations for the first 2024 to 2025 payments were calculated using the 2023 to 2024 academic year UIFSM funding rate. It has now been confirmed that a further uplift to 拢2.58 will be implemented for the 2024 to 2025 academic year. 聽This additional payment will be delivered alongside the final allocation for 2024 to 2025 in June/July 2025 and backdated to the start of the academic year.
