The Government welcomes the Foreign Affairs Committee鈥檚 inquiry into the UK鈥檚 response to extremism and instability in North and West Africa, published on 21 March 2014. We welcome the detailed work the Committee has undertaken and comment on the main points of the inquiry.

This Command Paper sets out our response to each of the Committee鈥檚 conclusions and recommendations. The Committee鈥檚 text is in bold and the Government鈥檚 response is in plain text. Paragraph numbers refer to the Committee鈥檚 report.
